Globelink Fallow Limited are proud to be the 2013-14 shirt sponsors for Walthamstow Eagles LFC who play in Division One of the Essex County Women’s Football League.

So far the shirts seem to be working well as the team are top of the table with two wins from their first two games.

It’s the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and the Globelink-Fallow Romford team hope to raise £100 for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity with generous donations of cakes all baked by staff members!

About the Event:

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event. We ask people across the UK – and sometimes further afield – to hold a coffee morning, where donations on the day are made to Macmillan. In 2012 115,000 people signed up to coffee morning, raising a record £15 million.

The event started in 1990, when a local fundraising committee decided to hold a coffee morning where people came along to meet and mingle – as they might ordinarily do – but donate the cost of their coffee to Macmillan in the process.

The idea seemed such a simple, yet effective one that they suggested the model be taken up nationally. The first National World’s Biggest Coffee Morning was in 1991, when 2,600 people registered to hold coffee mornings across the country. Since then it has raised over £75 million in total for Macmillan Cancer Support.

 We are proud to announce that CWT has just recently been ranked in Forbes Asia Fab 50 list. The 50 chosen companies represent the region’s best of the best, reflecting solid financial track records and great management and entrepreneurial skill. CWT is among 18 regional debutantes and the only Singapore firm in the list.

Forbes Asia’s Fab 50 companies are the best of Asia Pacific’s biggest publicly-traded companies, with at least US$3 billion in annual revenue or market capitalization. Companies are selected from a pool of 1,220 companies according to several criteria, including revenue, earnings, return on capital, share-price movements and outlook. The list excludes companies with too much debt or where the government owns at least half of the shares.

The latest Forbes Asia Fabulous 50 list showcases the best big public companies in the Asia-Pacific region. Despite slowing growth, gyrating currencies and stagnation in export markets in the United States and Europe, this year’s winners not only survived but thrived amid testing times, Forbes said.

Some of the “fitter” Globelink Fallow staff took part in the recent Run to the Beat half marathon. The winning time was 1hr 12mins with our lads ranging from Neil’s time of 1hr 34 mins through to Dave’s slightly less speedy 2 hrs 41 mins.
